TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday asked party candidates to remind people about the benefits they got from the welfare schemes introduced during the four-andhalf-year TRS rule.

At a meeting at Telangana Bhavan, KCR gave details of all the beneficiaries of various schemes constituency-wise to all candidates. There are approximately 60,000 beneficiaries in each constituency and the TRS is considering them as a strong vote bank.

KCR asked candidates to visit every home during their campaigning to not only remind beneficiaries about what they got but also explain to the electorate about the partial manifesto that he had already declared.

Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari who briefed the media after the three-hour meeting said that by the end of the month, KCR would address two public meetings. . While KCR will try to cover all assembly constituencies after that until the campaigning time ends, he will focus mainly on constituencies where the Mahakutami thinks it has a strong presence. The CM’s schedule of public meetings will be announced on Monday, Srihari said.

Forest and Environment Minister Jogu Ramanna says Adivasis have started reaping benefits of various schemes aimed at empowering them

Forest and Environment Minister, Jogu Ramanna, on Wednesday said that the TRS government realised the ideals of tribal legend Kumram Bheem, by introducing welfare schemes for the welfare of tribal people and added that the tribals have started reaping the benefits of such schemes.

Speaking on the occasion of the 78th martyrdom anniversary of Kumram Bheem, Ramanna said that the deaths of Adivasis has come down after the TRS assumed power in the State and added that Rs 25 crore was granted for constructing a Kumram Bheem memorial and museum at Jodeghat village in Kerameri mandal, where the legend attained martyrdom.

The Minister further stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was the first person in office to attend the anniversary of the tribal legend in 2014 and added that the State has been organising Kumram Bheem’s anniversary officially, unlike the previous governments. The TRS government had issued RoFR pattadar passbooks to 17,000 adivasis dwelling in Agency areas, he informed.

Ramanna recalled that a double road was laid between Hatti and Jodeghat at a cost of Rs 17 crore, recently and added that the TRS government was committed for the welfare and growth of tribals. He alleged the Congress party of trying to create differences between Advasis and Lambadas by backing one of the sections and urged all the people to be cautious of the lies being spread by the opposition party leaders.

Adilabad MP G Nagesh, Adilabad Municipal Chairperson R Maneesha, and TRS mandal president Laxmi also paid tributes to Kumram Bheem. They hailed Bheem for sacrificing his life for the rights of the aboriginal tribals over water, forest and land in 1940. They added that struggles of the legend had transformed the lives of Adivasis.

Elect TRS for double bonanza: Durgam Chinnaiah

TRS candidate from Bellampalli Assembly constituency Durgam Chinnaiah urged voters to elect the TRS if they wanted to have double benefits of welfare schemes and fruits of development. He was accorded a grand welcome by locals while electioneering in different localities of the coal belt town on Wednesday.

Chinnaiah said that the amount of social security pensions was enhanced from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,016 per month and that the jobless would be offered unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 every month. “If you want to get double benefits of welfare schemes, the TRS must come to power. Similarly, the State will undergo remarkable development if the party is elected again,” he said.

Later, the former legislator invited 50 youngsters and ex-BJP mandal president Chandragiri Srinivas into the TRS fold at a programme held in the town. He said that many were joining the pink party after being impressed by its governance in the past four years and its innovative schemes. He hoped that the party would be able to secure power for the second time with the help of the schemes and development works.

The nominee lambasted the Congress for uniting with the TDP and for stalling development works by approaching courts. He said that the people would teach a lesson to the Prajakutami and give mandate to the TRS in the coming elections. He added that only TRS was committed to the growth of the newly-created Telangana State as it had achieved a separate State after struggling for 14 years.

TRS will retain power: KTR

He pointed out that whether it was the GHMC, Warangal by-election or other polls, people of the State had been extending support to TRS since 2014.

Industries and IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Wednesday said Telangana State would witness a ‘noisy revolution’ on December 11, the day of counting after polling to 119 Assembly seats on December 7 that will see the TRS retaining power in the State with a thumping majority.

The Minister was reacting to TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy’s comment claiming that the State was witnessing a ‘silent revolution.’ “There is no such silent revolution in the State, and the only revolution that the State will see will be the people’s celebrations on December 11, when all the Congress leaders will be proved wrong,” Rama Rao said, participating in Praja Aashirvada Sabha held in Medipalli of Jagtial district.

He pointed out that whether it was the GHMC, Warangal by-election or other polls, people of the State had been extending support to TRS since 2014.

“TRS will capture power in the State again by winning 100 Assembly seats and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will continue as Chief Minister even after December 11. There is no doubt about this,” he said.

Stating that he could proudly declare that KCR will be the Chief Minister again in the next term, Rama Rao challenged the Congress leaders to announce its Chief Ministerial candidate. “Ten leaders will take turns as Chief Minister for the next five years if the Congress is voted to power,” he said, adding that KCR will be Chief Minister till the agriculture sector becomes a festive activity and the objective of Golden Telangana is achieved.

Terming the Congress-TDP alliance as unethical, the Minister said it was a great insult to the late Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, who founded the TDP to primarily oppose the Congress. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had shown his true colours by writing 30 letters to the Central government to stall construction of Kaleshwaram, Sita Rama and Palamuru lift irrigation projects, he said, while Congress filed a number of cases in the court against the construction of irrigation projects after taking fingerprints of dead persons.

Supply of 24 hours power supply to agriculture sector and construction of irrigation projects would be stalled if the Prajakutami was voted to power in the State, he warned, and said it was up to the people to decide whether to elect KCR, who has been striving hard for the uplift of all sections of society, or the Congress-TDP alliance which had made the people suffer for 67 years.

With a view to improve the lives of the poor, the TRS government focused more on vital issues like irrigation projects, 24 hours power supply to the agriculture sector, drinking water, pensions to different sections of people, among other initiatives. KCR has also decided to waive power bills of SC and ST communities up to 100 units, he said.

Stating that Medipalli area had been neglected in the last 67 years, Rama Rao said that Medigadda and Kathalapur areas would turn into another Konaseema once the Kaleshwaram project is completed. It would be completed in the coming six months, he said, adding that water under Mission Bhagiratha will reach every household by December 7.

Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali hopeful of TRS victory

Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali while inaugurating a new TRS party office in Mahbubnagar on Monday expressed hope and re-affirmed confidence that the TRS will win the next elections with thumping majority and continue to carry forward the good work initiated by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

While speaking on the occasion Mahmood Ali said that the TRS government had initiated various welfare and development programmes and achieved more success in just 4 years compared to the development done by the erstwhile governments in the past 60 years.

He pointed out that CM KCR is committed and dedicated to make the state a Golden Telangana. “The Congress party leaders have been deceiving the people and are losing hope among the people and do not have their patronage,” said Mahmood Ali while expressing confidence that TRS will win the upcoming elections.

He also said that the Congress party does not have courage to defeat the TRS and formed Mahakutami and now making unnecessary allegations. He also lamented that the Congress party and their allies even till date have failed to declare MLA contestants in the State and are in a helpless state.

Adding further, Dr. C. Laxma Reddy, caretaker Health Minister hoped that the people of Telangana are with TRS party and he also made it clear the people do not believe the opposition parties’ false propaganda as they are creating hurdles in the way of development.

He also urged the people to support the pink party and support the TRS aspirants in the district. Srinivas Goud, MLA Mahbubnagar, TRS district president Badmi Shiva Kumar and others took part in the programme.

EC team visits Telangana to review poll preparedness

An 11-member high-level team led by Chief Election Commissioner O P Rawat is on a three-day visit to Hyderabad to review poll preparedness in Telangana.

On the first day of its visit, the EC team held interactions with representatives of political parties.

It held separate meetings with the representatives of all recognised political parties, including BJP, BSP, CPI, CPI(M), Congress, MIM, TDP and TRS.

The Commission will also hold a crucial meeting with the District Electoral Officers and Police Superintendents to review the arrangements in detail.

The team will also meet senior officials of Income Tax, Excise, and Enforcement agencies besides transport, railway and airport authorities before leaving for Delhi on Wednesday.

Telangana is scheduled to go to polls on 7 December.

Nadipelli Diwakar Rao, TRS candidate from Mancherial Assembly constituency, requested the electors to vote for the party to form corruption-free government. He led a poll rally in ward number seven in Mancherial on Sunday.

Diwakar Rao stated that the TRS government had introduced several innovate schemes and taken up creation of irrigation projects like never before. He requested the electors to cast their votes in favour of his candidature to see K Chandrashekhar Rao as Chief Minister for the second time. He added that he would strive hard for developing the town on many facets if elected again.

Telangana Polls : Electricians back TRS

Electricians from Lingojiguda division joined TRS in the presence of party candidate Muddagauni Rammohan Goud here on Sunday. Muddagauni assured them that he would strive hard for the welfare schemes introduced by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to the downtrodden. He also said that issues mentioned in recently announced partial manifesto, like increments in unemployment allowances, Rythu Bandhu, accident insurance policy to workers, Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes, are useful to the public.

Corporator Mudraboina Srinivasa Rao said that Rammohan will always be available to people in the constituency. He appealed to them to vote for the car symbol in the December elections. Telangana Elections: TRS announces candidates for Malakpet and Zaheerabad

With this, the TRS has announced 107 candidates for the 119-member Assembly. The remaining 12 candidates are also expected to be named soon.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Sunday announced the names of two more party candidates for the Malakpet and Zaheerabad Assembly constituencies for the upcoming state elections.

The decision was taken by senior TRS leaders after a meeting of all candidates with caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday. While Chava Satish Kumar has been picked for Malakpet, K Manik Rao will contest from Zaheerabad on the TRS flag.

With this, the TRS has announced 107 candidates for the 119-member Assembly. The remaining 12 candidates are also expected to be named soon.

On September 6, KCR and his cabinet passed a resolution to dissolve the Assembly which came into effect after Governor ESL Narasimhan approved it. On the same day, almost all sitting legislators of the TRS were given a ticket to contest the polls yet again.

Only two MLAs were not given a ticket again — the Chennur seat in Mancherial district and Andole in Sangareddy district. “In five places, some discussion is still needed, so the candidates have not been announced yet. This includes Medchal, Malkajgiri, Choppadandi, Vikarabad and Warangal East,” KCR had said.

KCR himself has decided to recontest from his present seat at Gajwel, while his son and IT Minister KT Rama Rao will contest again from Sircilla constituency. Irrigation Minister Harish Rao retained his nomination for the seat from Siddipet.

While the TRS won 63 seats out of the total 119 in the legislative assembly during the 2014 elections, it presently has close to 90 MLAs in its party following a series of defections. In what could be seen as a gamble, many defectors have managed to retain their ticket and will contest the same seats, this time under the TRS banner.

Meanwhile, a team from the Central Election Commission is all set to visit Telangana on Monday and review poll preparedness of the state for the elections to be held on December 7.
