TRS will rewrite history in Sirpur (T) : Koneru Konappa

TRS candidate Koneru Konappa says he has improved connectivity, education and health sector in the constituency in the last four and half years. He exuded confidence that development and welfare schemes would easily help him register a victory in the elections. In an interview , he shared his advantages to succeed in the coming Assembly elections and his plans to better if elected again.

— You have begun campaign much earlier than your counterparts. How has been the response from the public?

I have already completed one round of electioneering in all villages and urban areas. The response has been encouraging. People are happy with the welfare schemes introduced by the TRS government and development witnessed in the past four years. They are upbeat over the partial manifesto announced by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. They are confident that only Rao can strive hard to improve the State. They have reposed faith in me as well.

— What are the important development works in the constituency during your tenure

As many as 300 km of road network was laid as against 450 km of stretches required to provide connectivity to 30 habitations deprived of the basic facility from 2014 to 2018. Works on 31 bridges were taken up, improving connectivity to several villages. Similarly, inter-State bridge being erected across Pranahita between Gudem and Aheri of Maharashtra will be completed within two or three months. Besides transportation, the education sector was bettered with establishing eight residential schools. Bejjur primary centre was upgraded to a 30-bed hospital, while community health centre of Kaghaznagar town was converted into a 100-bed facility. Two new mandals, Chintalamanepalli and Penchikalpet, and Kaghaznagar revenue division were created for simplifying administration.

Also, 3,000 new electric connections were provided to farmers in the last four years as against 3,800 connections given in the past 60 years. Warehouses were built for five mandals for helping the agrarian community to store their grains. Two more warehouses would be constructed for the remaining two mandals soon.

— What was the satisfying moment for you in this term

Under the leadership of Chandrasekhar Rao and flawless determination and sincere efforts of IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao, we were able to revive the sick Sirpur Paper Mills (SPM). It is a landmark achievement. It will transform the lives of 10,000 people. Residents of the town and workers of the paper manufacturer expressed happiness and are blessing the government and party.

— What is your message to the people when you seek votes

I am confident that voters will re-elect me since the development can be seen by all. They can see the growth in the last four years. I have been always accessible to people of the constituency. I am ready to extend support to the public and solve problems anytime.

— What are your prospects of winning the elections this time

People are satisfied with the welfare schemes and development works undertaken. They are to ready to not only extend electoral support to me, but help TRS to win 100 of the 119 seats in Telangana. The party will certainly form the government. The party will rewrite history in Sirpur (T) constituency by clinching it for the second time.

— Which areas you are going to focus on if re-elected

I will focus on industrial growth for creating jobs to locals if elected again. I will try to secure another industry in place of Sirsilk factory which was shutdown. I will strive hard for the construction of a bridge across Wardha river between Gundaipet and Gond Pipri in Maharashtra with an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore and another bridge between Chedwai and Ainam.

#Telangana Polls : Want peace? Vote for TRS: Prabhakar

TRS candidate from Sangareddy Chinta Prabhakar on Friday urged people of his constituency to vote for the party if they want peace to prevail.

Addressing a meeting at Malkapur village in Sangareddy district, Prabhakar said the constituency had reaped the benefits of several development works. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had initiated a number of welfare programmes for the uplift of backward classes, elderly, women and others, he said.

“The people of the constituency used to live in fear when the Congress was in power. A number of issues cropped up among different sections, but no such incident was reported during the past four years of the TRS rule,” the TRS candidate said.

Prabhakar said unlike his rival T Jagga Reddy, he was just a phone call away from every voter in the constituency. “My doors had always been open not only to the TRS cadre but also to every citizen during the past four years,” he said. He also elaborated on various development works undertaken in Kondapur mandal of the constituency during his tenure as an MLA. He vowed that many surprises were in store in the TRS manifesto, which would be announced shortly by the Chief Minister.

Prabhakar a man of masses: Ex-sarpanch

Former sarpanch of Malkapur Ekkelli Vijayabhaskar Reddy hailed TRS candidate Chintha Prabhakar saying he was always available for them throughout his tenure.

Observing that Prabhakar had made 38 visits to Malkapur in the past four years, Reddy said, as a sarpanch, he maintained a record of every visit and its purpose.

Addressing the gathering during Prabhakar’s election campaign at Malkapur village, the former sarpanch said the TRS contestant not only toured every nook and corner of the constituency regularly but also remained available for them over the phone and at home. Citing an example of how responsive Prabhakar was, Reddy said he had responded to his phone call at 2 am when they sought his help in providing medical treatment to a Malkapur resident. “Prabhakar immediately called up the hospital management and requested them to provide treatment to the resident,” he said.

No future for BJP in TS: Former MLA

Former BJP MLA from Sangareddy constituency K Satyanarayana, who joined the TRS recently, appealed to the voters of Kondapur mandal to vote for Prabhakar in the coming elections to ensure development and peace. He said he joined the TRS impressed by the work of the State government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. Satyanarayana further said he saw no future for the BJP in the State and observed that Sangareddy had witnessed rapid development in the past four years. The former MLA said he would widely campaign in the constituency for the victory of Prabhakar.

Special programme for Lambadas

Kondapur is a predominantly tribal mandal in Sangareddy constituency. To meet the Lamabadas of Kondapur mandal, TRS candidate from Sangareddy organised a “Banjara Aathmiya Sammelan” at Sitaramkunta village. To make the meeting special, he invited folk singer Mangli (Sathyavathi) to entertain the Lambadas. A large number of Lambadas from across the mandal thronged the village to watch the performance of folk artistes and listen to Prabhakar.

Ashirwada Sabha : Eatala exhorts people to vote for TRS

Most of the villagers, which remained backward  when the State was united, are witnessing enormous development now after the formation of separate Telangana, according to caretaker Finance Minister Eatala Rejender here on Friday.

Rajender was participating in the ‘Ashirwada Sabha’ organised by the villagers of Shalapalli, Indiranagar, Manthinipalli and Peddapapaiahpalli villages at private function hall here.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajender said that it was the pink flag which always made efforts for the betterment of the downtrodden. Earlier everyone thought that it would be great if Rs. 50,000 worth of works were sanctioned for the development of their respective villages.

But, after the formation of TRS government every village was developed. Each village secured nearly Rs 5 crore for development works. The construction works of Kaleshwaram project would be completed by next rainy season and there would be plenty of water for irrigation needs.

The caretaker Minister said, “I will be like the elder son of the family and will look after everyone and will try to solve everyone’s problems. It gives immense pleasure for me if everyone lives happily and peacefully and I am striving for that.”

TRS is the only party which can understand the problems of the people. Everything was provided by the TRS party to all sections of people. Kalayana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, KCR kits, Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bhima schemes were introduced for welfare of the people.

If people would bless the TRS party for the second term by casting their valuable vote, many more welfare schemes would be introduced for the welfare of the people.

ZPTC Molguri Sarojan, Market Committee Chairman Adavalli Kondal Reddy, TRS leaders Gopu Komura Reddy, Polampalli Srinivas Reddy, Sirimalle Raju, Dr Ilaiah, Poreddy Dayakar Reddy, Manthini Ravider, Manthini Srinivas and Sigalatha were present.

ChandraBabu Naidu must learn human values, says TRS

At Telangana Bhavan, MLC Karne Prabhakar pointed out that the Telangana Chief Minister took a humanitarian view and ordered for a funeral with State honours for Harikrishna.

TRS leaders on Friday advised TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to learn some essential lessons in humanity. Refuting his allegations, they wondered why Naidu was making an issue out of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s phone call to YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy extending wishes for his recovery following the attack on him but kept silent when similar courtesy was extended to TDP senior leader N Harikrishna following his death.

Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav condemned the statement of Chandrababu Naidu who found fault with Chandrashekhar Rao, Minister K T Rama Rao, MP K Kavitha and other TRS leaders condemning the attack on Jagan Mohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport on Thursday. He said Naidu was becoming impatient and politicising every issue. “Tomorrow, Naidu might even allege that Jagan injured himself in full public view for sympathy,” he opined.

After visiting Jagan Mohan Reddy at City Neuro Centre hospital on Friday, Srinivas Yadav asked: “What is wrong if the Governor enquires with the State DGP about the attack on the Opposition leader? Naidu should not forget that Governor ESL Narasimhan is still the Governor of Andhra Pradesh as well,” he pointed out.

At Telangana Bhavan, MLC Karne Prabhakar pointed out that the Telangana Chief Minister took a humanitarian view and ordered for a funeral with State honours for Harikrishna. “On similar humanitarian grounds, the Chief Minister spoke to Jagan Mohan Reddy to inquire about his health condition and wished him a speedy recovery. But Naidu who did not object to State honours for Harikrishna is now attributing political motives to such gesture,” he added. He said that Chandrashekhar Rao was giving utmost priority to human values, unlike Naidu who was only interested in economic relations.

TRS State Secretary Gattu Ramachander Rao felt that one cannot expect human values from a person like Naidu who was responsible for the death of his own father-in-law and a tall leader like N T Rama Rao. He said Naidu had no values at all, as the latter entered into an alliance with his arch-rival for political mileage.

“We have developed the constituency on many fronts. No party can find an irregularity to criticise our performance. Ours is a corruption-free and committed party. He, earlier, organised a door-to-door campaign in Itikyala of Luxettipet and requested electors to cast their votes to him. He criticised the Congress for faulting the TRS schemes and said people would teach the opposition party a lesson in the coming elections.

Telangana Elections: Vote for irrigation water, don’t accept liquor, says TRS

Telangana will head for polls on December 7. Counting of votes will happen on December 11.

In a scathing attack, the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has accused the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for pumping in huge amounts of money into the Telangana Assembly election campaign in a bid to woo voters.

According to a report by The Times of India, TRS leader and state irrigation minister T Harish Rao urged voters not to get lured by money spent on them.

“Do you want that liquor or sufficient water for irrigation for the constituency?” Rao asked during a road show in Nagarkurnool Assembly constituency on October 24.

With nearly one month left for the elections, campaign has gained momentum in the state. While TRS is looking to retain power, opposition parties are leaving no stone unturned to wrest India’s youngest state from K Chandrashekar Rao-led party.

The TRS leader further sent out a message to voters, to expect any expenses on their fuel and food by TRS candidates to get their votes.

He appealed to the residents of Nagarkurnool to vote for sitting MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy. In his tenure, Reddy has proved his worth and therefore the people should work for his victory, said Rao.

Rao blamed TDP for working against the interests of Telangana. N Chandrababu Naidu had objected to Palamuru Ethipothala project on the grounds that Telangana would draw the required water from Srisailam, Rao claimed.

Telangana will head for polls on December 7. Counting of votes will happen on December 11.

Remind people of TRS’ welfare schemes: KCR

TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday asked party candidates to remind people about the benefits they got from the welfare schemes introduced during the four-andhalf-year TRS rule.

At a meeting at Telangana Bhavan, KCR gave details of all the beneficiaries of various schemes constituency-wise to all candidates. There are approximately 60,000 beneficiaries in each constituency and the TRS is considering them as a strong vote bank.

KCR asked candidates to visit every home during their campaigning to not only remind beneficiaries about what they got but also explain to the electorate about the partial manifesto that he had already declared.

Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari who briefed the media after the three-hour meeting said that by the end of the month, KCR would address two public meetings. . While KCR will try to cover all assembly constituencies after that until the campaigning time ends, he will focus mainly on constituencies where the Mahakutami thinks it has a strong presence. The CM’s schedule of public meetings will be announced on Monday, Srihari said.

Vote for TRS to enable development, Kadiam tells voters

The Minister asked the people to exercise caution in choosing candidates, adding that the TRS is for development while the Congress is known for settlements, land grabbing and criminal activities.

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari on Wednesday urged the voters of Parkal Assembly constituency to vote for TRS candidate Challa Dharma Reddy if they want peace and development.

Stating that vote for the Congress candidate (Prajakutami) is nothing but vote for ‘gunda raj’, he asked the people to exercise caution in choosing candidates, adding that the TRS is for development and the Congress is known for settlements, land grabbing and other criminal activities.

Addressing a massive bike rally organised by TRS activists to garner votes for Challa Dharma Reddy here on Wednesday, Srihari termed ‘Prajakutami’ as ‘Daghakutami’ and urged the people to support the TRS candidate. “Dharma Reddy is capable of crushing the ‘konda’. He strived a lot for the development of the constituency as MLA. He was instrumental in setting up the Kakatiya mega textile park in the constituency by acquiring 1,200 acres of land without any hurdle,” he said, adding that Dharma Reddy had even sanctioned Rs 50 crore for laying of CC roads.

Observing that the rally attracted a large number of people, he said that winning the seat is a mere formality for Dharma Reddy.

Ridiculing the parties forming the Prajakutami for their failure in arriving at a decision on seat sharing, he said that TRS candidates have already completed their second phase of campaigning.

Meanwhile, Dharma Reddy urged voters not to believe rumours of him suffering from a serious illness, and urged them to vote him to victory once again. The bike rally, which saw participation of nearly 4,000 people, was organised from Athmakur to Gudeppadu.

MP Banda Prakash also spoke at the rally.

TRS realised ideals of Kumram Bheem: Jogu Ramanna

Forest and Environment Minister Jogu Ramanna says Adivasis have started reaping benefits of various schemes aimed at empowering them

Forest and Environment Minister, Jogu Ramanna, on Wednesday said that the TRS government realised the ideals of tribal legend Kumram Bheem, by introducing welfare schemes for the welfare of tribal people and added that the tribals have started reaping the benefits of such schemes.

Speaking on the occasion of the 78th martyrdom anniversary of Kumram Bheem, Ramanna said that the deaths of Adivasis has come down after the TRS assumed power in the State and added that Rs 25 crore was granted for constructing a Kumram Bheem memorial and museum at Jodeghat village in Kerameri mandal, where the legend attained martyrdom.

The Minister further stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was the first person in office to attend the anniversary of the tribal legend in 2014 and added that the State has been organising Kumram Bheem’s anniversary officially, unlike the previous governments. The TRS government had issued RoFR pattadar passbooks to 17,000 adivasis dwelling in Agency areas, he informed.

Ramanna recalled that a double road was laid between Hatti and Jodeghat at a cost of Rs 17 crore, recently and added that the TRS government was committed for the welfare and growth of tribals. He alleged the Congress party of trying to create differences between Advasis and Lambadas by backing one of the sections and urged all the people to be cautious of the lies being spread by the opposition party leaders.

Adilabad MP G Nagesh, Adilabad Municipal Chairperson R Maneesha, and TRS mandal president Laxmi also paid tributes to Kumram Bheem. They hailed Bheem for sacrificing his life for the rights of the aboriginal tribals over water, forest and land in 1940.
